Freshteh is a parenting coach in Toronto. She has twenty-five years of experience in early years education, nineteen as an early childhood educator and ten teaching educators, and helps parents know when to set a boundary and when to offer choices.

Why the guide exists

The pickup she has watched a hundred times.

A parent kneels at pickup and asks, “Do you want to go home?” The child shakes her head. The question comes again, and again, and half an hour later the day ends with a carry to the car.

The educator beside her would have handled the same moment once, calmly, and watched the child choose her jacket and walk out. That difference, for the whole day, is the guide.

“I founded Formative Years to give parents the tools and the support to raise emotionally resilient children. These early years lay the foundation for a lifetime of emotional well-being, and the everyday moments are where it happens.”

What she teaches

Her students will run the rooms your children spend their days in.

In the classroom now, she trains the next generation of early childhood educators:

  • How a room of small children stays calm
  • How a day is shaped so nobody has to negotiate it
  • How to be calm and clear in the same sentence

Now she’s put that same practical approach into a guide for parents—so you can stop negotiating every little moment and bring more calm, clarity, and cooperation into your home.

Tomorrow can feel different.
